fa50

As development has progressed into full flight-phase testing, supported by real-world pilots, mechanics, and experienced beta testers, it has become clear that additional time is needed to properly refine, document, and validate the aircraft.

The latest FA50 development update highlights new cockpit textures, a fully modeled cabin door, and a deeper look into the aircraft’s hydraulic system. Real-world FA50 pilots have helped refine its authentic control behavior - including how the elevator and ailerons react when hydraulic pressure is lost, just like on the real jet.

The FA50 is progressing steadily - flight model and sounds are now with real pilots for testing, avionics are nearly complete, and new features like walkaround mode and an integrated EFB are in place. A refreshed interior and details like working window blinds are also on the way.

The FA50 is Contrail’s first in-house aircraft, a high-performance trijet unveiled live at #FSExpoFriday 2025. Designed for both civilian and military roles, it will launch for MSFS 2020 and 2024 later this year.
