The classic B727-200F, known for its iconic three-engine configuration, is a special cargo variant of the renowned 727 family. It has been integral to air freight operations worldwide up to the 1990s, with some still in operation today.
The aircraft offers good performance and range for short- to medium-haul flights, making it an ideal choice for pilots looking to enjoy cargo operations. Even though the aircraft systems are quite complex, FSS has added an optional easy-entry user menu to automate cockpit flows and monitor systems automatically. Therefore, this add-on is great for all users, from beginners to experts.
Are you ready to dive into the world of classics and fly with old-school navigation? Or would you prefer a GPS retrofit option? The choice is yours. Have fun!

The modeling and the textures are all on a high level.
The flight behavior seems authentic.
The high lift during landing is also to be criticized. There should be some fine-tuning here.
Immersion:
- All doors and flaps are openable.
- Cockpit windows can be opened.
- The sounds are atmospheric and very impressive
- The Flight Engineer works well, but not yet perfectly.
Systems:
-The plane seems to be studylevel
Result: Overall, I am very enthusiastic about this plane. Price-performance is right with the plane.
FSS has put together a really great product here. Even if not everything is perfect, the plane is at least on par with the quality level of Fenix. PMDG cannot keep up here.
However, I would like to see a passenger variant for the future.
Clear purchase recommendation.

While the 727 is admittedly a massive improvement over previous products from this developer, I still do not consider it adequate, especially for the asking price.
The exterior and interior modelling/texturing is nice, I don't have many complaints on that regard, however the sounds, systems, and general feel of the aircraft is still quite poor.
As with both the Tecnam P2012 and E-Jets series from this developer, most systems in the 727 (if not all) feel like a façade, with no backend simulation to them. Of course, this opinion is purely based on the "feel" of the aircraft and may not be 100% accurate.
The sounds are a much needed improvement from previous products, however (for example) the engine sounds are very quiet (in both external and internal views) and some of the cockpit sounds are quite poor.
While I can't comment on the flight model's realism as I am not a real-world pilot, I can say that, in flight, it feels quite docile and nice to control. During rotation however, I found the aircraft to feel overly sensitive and rotate ridiculously quickly, even when the take-off performance and trim values are all set as given to me by the FSS 'Flight Bag' (the clipboard in the flight deck which acts in place of an EFB, as found on most other addons).
All in all, the aircraft is fine. It's not massively high-fidelity, but for the average virtual pilot who isn't too bothered with issues such as those mentioned above, the FSS 727-200F will suffice. If you are somebody who won't enjoy medium-fidelity aircraft, I suggest not purchasing this product.
Unfortunately, the largest issue I have, as seemingly always with this developer, is the support. It appears that reporting a bug will almost always get you told "we know" or "it's user error". While these are just my experiences, I can't reasonably leave this out of the review as it has solely certainly prevented me from purchasing other products from FSS in the past.
